I'm sorry to ramble so hard, but, as an aspiring writer, I know I would probably cry tears of joy if I heard someone loved something I wrote as much as I love The Sun and the Starmaker. I read all 426 pages of this book in less than 12 hours and wanted to reread it ten times over as soon as I finished the last word of the epilogue. This book has altered my life so severely with its breathtaking story. I could be confined in a solid white windowless and doorless room with nothing but this book and remain untouched by insanity or despair. I would give my heart and soul to read it for the first time over and over again. I would be so overwhelmingly happy if I were even one quarter of the author you are. This book came out the day before my birthday and no present will ever compare to the way this book made me feel. Everything about it is extraordinarily perfect from beginning to end. What I especially loved was the use of the prologue and epilogue, I just adored the way they mirrored each other and I'm hardly breathing as I wait to be able to get my hands on your other books. I can't wait to read more from you and I will continue to dream that I may inspire what I am feeling now in someone when they read by books when I (hopefully) get published one day. <3

sorry if this is weird but my Fairyloot edition arrived today. my mummy passed suddenly on Tuesday morning (the day this book released) and today we had a viewing of her. i haven't started it yet but i read the dedication and the end of the author's note and with all of that combined, it really feels like this book was meant for me now. we don't know what it was yet but she did have brain damage so that part of the author's note just resonated with me. i put the Sun friendship keychain from the box on her keys because she was - and still is - my whole world so it felt fitting. i know you obviously didn't know or have any say in the dates but thank you regardless xx
